So, blue dreadhawk is going to happen once tax season is over. It doesn’t matter if I do bookkeeping or if Andy makes me wear a hat through cab fest (assuming that I’ll be working cab fest). I don’t care. I need to like the way that I look to have any sort of confidence or fun and enjoy my life. Sad, but true. Shit’s official.
(Though since I’m a tumblr-ite and am constantly fighting internal battles over aesthetics vs. appropriation, they’ll be my celtic knots and nordic nests. ‘Cause really, what sort of fierce warrior baroness has the time to keep that mess silky? I know I sure don’t.)
So tired of purple-copper, and I miss buzzed-sides scritches and being that chick with royal blue hair and of course ‘hawks are eternally teh sex (As are dreads. Guy I hooked up with a couple weeks ago, aka Machete? I may have neglected to mention the mass of long, thin, utterly perfect dreads. Admittedly they were all over the place and got in the way a little, but whatever. I was thrilled. I was also drunk. Oh, he was so fucking beautiful. In my memory he looks a little like this but stockier and warmer. Mm. But then, again, very drunk. If nothing else, I’ve provided a picture of a very attractive individual. So anyway, if you see his thicker, friendlier looking doppelganger around SC, tell him I say “Hi.”)
I guess I’m a pretty fucking typical kinkster if I say that the sexiest song I can think of right now (aside from Swollen and Halo which is, and always will be, ultrakryptonite for me.) is by Depeche Mode.
But, I mean, fuck.
I listened to this for serious for the first time and oh my goodness.
Put it on And don’t say a word Put it on The one that I prefer Put it on And stand before my eyes Put it on Please don’t question why
Can you believe Something so simple Something so trivial Makes me a happy man Can’t you understand Say you believe Just how easy It is to please me
Because when you learn You’ll know what makes the world turn
So, when I was 13 or so, I was really into this tweeny girl movie called Frog and Wombat. Mostly because it was filmed in my hometown (notable scene happens in a skating rink I used to frequent, I think one of my childhood friends might have been an extra). I have some really vague memories of kick ass grrl-powery songs from the soundtrack that nonetheless STILL send shivers down my spine.
And I can’t fucking figure out what they were and who they were by, and it’s driving me absolutely nutzo. I’ve been listening to Michelle Chappel and SONiA all night, and I still can’t find the songs I’ve been wanting to hear. Can’t find a track listing or even just a complete list of the contributing artists ANYWHERE. x_x
